Ewan "Red" Ferrier
It is with heavy heart that we share the passing of Ewan “Red” Ferrier, May 25th, 2023.
Many of you will remember Red as a fellow archer, coach, judge, and also the Piper who would frequently pipe us into and out of archery events. Both Red, and his wife Eileen, have been lifelong friends of archery; coaching, teaching, and mentoring many of us who have entered this sport.
We, at the RMLA, are richer for knowing Red, and being able to count him as a friend.
I, Dave Iredale, President RMLA, first met Red and Eileen when they took a 19 year old beginning archer under their wings in 1977 and proceeded to foster a lifelong love of archery in my heart. I can never express how grateful I am for their friendship and coaching.
Please join with me as we pass our most heartfelt condolences on to Eileen and family.
Dave Iredale, President RMLA
Welcome
Formed in the early 1980's by a group of dedicated Longbow enthusiasts, who's goal was the use, enjoyment and tradition of the longbow.
This has not changed since those early years and today the R.M.L.A. still promotes the use of the longbow in all events. Most notably the "North American Longbow Safari", which has been a premiere event held each year to bring longbow enthusiasts together in a rendezvous style shoot.
